Disrupted sleep has a significant negative impact on the sufferer’s mental and physical health and well being. Improving their sleep pattern can often become an obsession for that person.

Sleep Anxiety Example
Ramona had never slept well and her sleep pattern caused her anxiety during the day worrying about getting to sleep that night. She felt anxious before bedtime and how she would cope with no sleep the next day. Her mind seemed to throw out different worries that felt insurmountable in the middle of the night. She had started to feel depressed and turn down social engagements for fear of being tired.
